Miami Gardens Solid Waste Guide 2026
Keeping our city clean is a community effort. From weekly pickups to bulk waste scheduling, here is how to manage your trash in 2026.
Weekly Collection
Garbage is collected twice per week for all single-family households. Recycling is collected every other week on your designated day. Please place bins curbside 12 to 24 hours before pickup.
Bulk Waste Pickup
Each household is entitled to two free bulk pickups per year (up to 25 cubic yards each). You must schedule these in advance by calling 3-1-1 or using the city’s online portal.
The 5-Foot Rule
To avoid missed pickups, ensure your bins and bulk piles are at least five feet away from mailboxes, cars, trees, and utility poles. Collection trucks need clear access to operate safely.
Neighborhood Trash & Recycling Centers (TRCs)
If you miss your bulk day, residents can drop off items at these Miami Gardens locations:
- Norwood TRC: 19901 NW 7th Avenue
- Golden Glades TRC: 140 NW 160th Street
- North Dade TRC: 21500 NW 47th Avenue
Important: Placing bulk waste on the curb without a scheduled appointment can result in a code enforcement fine of $100 or more. Always call 3-1-1 first.
