Founded in 1972, Dade Heritage Trust is Miami-Dade County’s largest preservation organization. Its mission is to preserve Miami-Dade County’s architectural, environmental, and cultural heritage through education and advocacy. Located in the 1905 original office of Dr. James Jackson, Miami’s first physician, the Trust also offers public programs such as bike tours, “Baking in Historic Places,” and free Sunday tours of the historic Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, making it a non-profit organization and a tourist attraction.
